Marble surface is stained and shows a thick layer of grime and grease. Structurally, pointing between bust and pedestal is missing causing some movement between the two elements. Tip of the nose is missing.

Cement accretions are visible at pedestal and hair areas. Minor surface abrasion to the hair and tiara.

During treatment / detail: tests were carried out to determine cleaning method. Steam cleaning was considered the most effective at gradually and evenly removing the soiling.

After treatment: A mold was taken from the nose and a cast, similar in apparence to marble, was made and consequently attached to the nose.
